Meet The Owner
Welcome to The Linksman, where exceptional experiences, networking, and the thrill of golf converge in a luxurious speakeasy-style mancave atmosphere. I'm Steven Reed, the visionary behind this unique venture.
Combining my 10-year background in the technology industry with a passion for golf, I identified a gap in the corporate event space where privacy was lacking. This realization fueled my drive to create a private oasis for corporate and private events at The Linksman.
Having studied marketing at San Francisco State University, where I also played Division 2 soccer, I bring a blend of academic knowledge and athletic discipline to my endeavors. In my 10-year technology career, I managed quarterly event budgets, spearheaded planning and marketing efforts, and drove sales across Southwest states including CA, AZ, NV, and HI.
Outside of work, I maintain an active lifestyle, engaging in weekly golf along with activities like pilates, yoga, meditation, and outdoor adventures. My love for the game of golf has deepened over the years, leading to significant improvements in my handicap through practice.
Married to Jamie (and golf!) and the proud parent of two toy poodles, named Bear and Bella, family and companionship are central to my life. Born in Irvine, CA, and raised in Laguna Hills, I spent eight formative years in the Bay Area for school, leisure, and work until 2010.
